2-Mediation-3Neutral Coach Meetings. The neutral coach is able to meet with you and your spouse together and individually to help clarify and articulate your personal goals and values you want reflected in the divorce settlement, to help you both stay accountable to the goals you have set for your future and the future of your children and to help you both stay focused on working toward long-term win-win solutions. In addition, the neutral coach can support you both in learning how to communicate with your co-parent in the best interests of your children, create a foundation for co-parenting that will enable you to act in your children’s best interest and mediate the terms of your parenting plan as a part of the divorce process and as the needs of your children change in the future.

The neutral coach is able to facilitate communication among all participants in the settlement conferences by helping both of you continue through the conferences if you become emotionally stuck and by helping the litigating attorneys work together effectively. The coach is able to address your respective readiness for divorce, work with you both to identify where and when communication breaks down and you begin to trigger each other negatively and why that is not in your self-interest long-term or that of your children.
