2-Mediation-3Neutral Coach Meetings. The neutral coach will meet with you and your spouse together and individually to help clarify and articulate your personal goals and values that you want reflected in the divorce settlement, to help you both stay accountable to the goals you have set for your future and the future of your children and to help you both stay focused on working toward long-term win-win solutions. In addition, the neutral coach will support you both in learning how to communicate with your co-parent in the best interests of your children, create a foundation for co-parenting that will enable you to act in your children’s best interest and mediate the terms of your parenting plan as a part of the divorce process and as the needs of your children change in the future.

The coach is an integral member of the Collaborative team and facilitates communication among all participants in the Collaborative divorce process by helping both of you move through the divorce process if you become emotionally charged and by helping the Collaborative team work together effectively. The coach will address your respective readiness for the divorce process, work with you both to identify where and when communication breaks down and you begin to trigger each other negatively and why that is not in your self-interest long-term or that of your children.
